Project Overview
Our team was appointed to deliver the full plumbing and heating package as part of a wider refurbishment project. The scope included isolating the existing building from all incoming water supplies before completing a full first fix and second fix installation across the property.
Springwood Close will provide 26 new flats and 114 rooms across four blocks, designed specifically to house local medical staff near where they work.
The first stage of the project involved isolating the building from the mains water connection. This ensured that all existing pipework was safely removed or capped, making the site ready for new installation works.
Once isolated, our engineers completed the full first fix for:
Hot and cold domestic water supplies
Heating pipework to radiators and plant equipment
Drainage and waste pipe routes
Pipework routes to all sanitaryware locations
All pipework was carefully set out and pressure tested to ensure optimal performance before walls and floors were closed up. Working closely with the site team and main contractor meant we were able to coordinate installation routes efficiently and maintain programme targets.
After finishes were completed, we returned to carry out the second fix stage. This included installing:
All sanitaryware (WCs, basins, showers, and kitchen fixtures)
Brassware including taps, thermostatic shower mixers, and isolation valves
Plantroom equipment, boilers, pumps and associated controls
Attention to detail is critical during this phase. Every fixture was levelled, sealed, tested and commissioned to ensure reliable operation and a high-quality finish for the client.
